The Krasnodar Region is one of Southern Russia’s key transport hubs, attracting more and more tourists and witnessing greater passenger and freight traffic with each passing year. This is why modernising and expanding the carrying capacity of the region’s rail network is one of the most important tasks we are facing in order to strengthen its transit potential and increase the region’s attractiveness as a business and tourist destination. The region always welcomes investments and productive cooperation in this area. Our strategic partners include world-renowned Russian and foreign companies, a true testament to the faith shown in our region. And it is important for us that the leading railway industry forum in the post-Soviet space has been held in Sochi for the past 10 years.
Over the years, the Forum has become a popular and promising platform for finding joint approaches and solutions to pressing issues affecting the railway industry in Europe and Asia. And I hope that the anniversary 10th Forum will also produce proposals and initiatives that contribute to the effective development of the industry in the new economic and geopolitical landscape.
