Vienna will host the business forum “Strategic Partnership 1520: Central Europe”
On February 20-22, 2018, the International Rail Business Forum “Strategic Partnership 1520: Central Europe” will be held in Vienna. For the first time ever, the European Union will host the “1520” event. The organizer is Business Dialogue, the key partners are ÖBB Holding AG and Russian Railways.
The top officials from the national railway operators of “broad” and “narrow” gauge countries, as well as executives from the European Commission’s transport sector and international industry organizations will speak at the forum. Representatives from transport and logistics, engineering and construction companies of the EU and CIS countries will also participate actively in the event.
One of the key subjects will be the possibilities for improving the speed and quality of railway transit on the East-West route. The business program will address the issues of international logistics, financing and construction of railway infrastructure, and improving the technological 1520 and 1435 interoperability. European and Asian shippers will be informed on the railway business’s efforts in expanding the geography and timetable of scheduled container trains between China and the EU, acceleration of customs transit clearance, competitive tariffs formation and adoption of advanced logistics solutions.
1520 Strategic Partnership is the international business forum aimed at coordination of the efforts of players in the Eurasia transport market in order to create a coherent infrastructure of international transportation corridors and the most comfortable passenger and cargo transportation environment.
